This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, free a person, post bond, or retrieve an official record for you.

The guides below can help you prepare before contacting an office:
- For a named county release and a written request, begin with the Monroe County released-inmate search and records guide.
- For local or state supervision, use Post-Release Supervision.
- For same-day activity, see 24-Hour Releases. Monroe County has no verified public recent-release feed, so the page explains the jail-docket fallback.
- For a state sentence forecast, use Release Date Lookup; for an alert, use VINE Inmate Check.
- For the active county jail, use the Monroe County Detention Facility page.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the MDOC offender search and Records Department. MDOC does not cover every county-jail stay.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE system. A county transfer to one of those agencies is not community release.
